Mac File Recovery from Memory Card

Memory card is a portable, non-volatile secondary storage device that is generally used to store data, images, audio and video files. • Accidental deletion: When you delete a particular file unintentionally, it does not go to Trash so there is less possibility to recover that file using the Restore option. However, it can be located and recovered using the third party utility such as Mac file recovery software.
• Formatted memory card: After inserting memory card to the computer or digital cameras, you might see the error message such as:
  "The drive is not formatted, do you want to format it now"

• Do not use memory card after formatting: If you have accidentally formatted your memory card and want to recover all the data from it, then it is very important that you do not add any new data onto the formatted memory card, as it will overwrite the older data and you will lose your previous data permanently.

Step 3: Select the volume from which you want to recover your data and click "Next" to select the file type you want to recover as shown in figure 3.

Step 4: Once you click "Next" the recovery process will start. After it completes, all recovered data will be displayed as shown in figure 4. You can use "Save Recovery Session" option to save the scanned information.
